Ian and I were friends at York University but we lost touch as we went our separate ways. I have fond memories of a rail trip around Europe with another friend, Stephen - it was pretty chaotic and disorganised but we had a lot of fun! I also remember the many late nights in Ian’s room spent discussing politics and putting the world to rights. Whenever I hear the Santana album, Abraxas, I always think of Ian and those nights shared with friends........so sad to hear of his passing,but it’s good to know that he made such a positive impact on so many peoples’ lives.......RIP, Ian Les
